Vrbnik – Risika – Sveti Marek – Vrbnik

The route begins with a gentle climb from the quaint town of Vrbnik. With every metre gained, the views of the Vrbnik field and the Vinodol channel become more attractive. The rest of the route is a combination of byways and roads that lead to the village of Risika and further along the coast to the island’s famous sandy beach, Sveti Marek. Here you can take a refreshing swim and see the remains of the nearby Church of St. Mark, after whom the beach is named. Then it is back uphill again before returning to Vrbnik.
